Most of our staff is graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, which gives us plenty of experience in certified translation of legal documents. The translation of a document from a foreign language into Spanish or vice versa, or from a foreign language into another foreign language is deemed “certified” when it bears the seal and signature of a translator, who is a member of an association of translators and who has a valid license for the pertinent language pairs. Also, such translation must meet all the requirements set forth by the association, in the case of Buenos Aires city it is the CTPBA [Sworn Translators’ Association of the City of Buenos Aires], which certifies the translator’s seal and signature stamped on the translated document. By stamping his seal and signature, a Certified Translator attests to the accuracy of the translated text and undertakes legal and ethical responsibility for his work.
These are examples of documents which are generally required to be certified: personal documents such as birth, death and marriage certificates; academic transcripts and diplomas; passports, criminal record reports; and partnership documents such as articles of incorporation, balance sheets, merger and acquisition documents, among others.

For this reason, we assure you a quality service and the fulfilment of all the requirements of certification demanded by the above-mentioned association as well as including the seal and signature of the translator responsible for such translation.
Additional services: We accept documents via regular mail, which will be translated and certified in the CTPCBA and return to the client via certified mail.
We provide a certification service that includes certifying the translation and sending it back to you by courier or mail. This service is optional, since clients may choose to collect the document and certify it on their own.
We assist fellow translators living outside the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to certify their translations in the CTPBA.
An audiovisual translation is a form of translation carried out via two channels that send information at the same time. In fact, this type of translation has begun to be known as “audiovisual” quiet recently, before that, it received several other names: translation of films, translation of films and television, cinematographic communication, multimedia translation, dubbing, subtitling, etc. The term “audiovisual translation” emerged after other means of communication, such as television or videogames, appeared in the scene. If we include language localization or the translation of multimedia programs or computer products in general, the term “translation for the screen” comes to light.

This task consists of revising and correcting an original text to make it clear, concise, and harmonious, which gives the text an aggregate value and makes it more comprehensible to the addressee: the reader. An editor corrects orthography, grammar, syntax, orthotypography, style, the text format and the accuracy of the facts (but almost never the content) of a text from a newspaper, a book or any other type of text.

A transcription is the representation of spoken language in a written form. The source of a transcription can be a text represented in a format other than paper per se (for example, tins, signs, packaging, etc.) The most common examples of formal transcriptions include the proceedings of judicial hearings, such as a criminal trial (by means of a judicial stenographer) or audio notes recorded by a doctor (medical transcription); and within an informal scope, some examples comprise the transcription of songs, poems, phone calls, and others.
